Yesterday, Hank left early in the morning to go to Huntsville and returned home around 5 pm. This is unusual, at least since Emalyn joined us, since he works from home and is typically in and out throughout the day. "They" say absence makes he heart grow fonder! Perhaps "they" are right! When he got home last night, Emalyn smiled and ran to him, let him rough play with her on the floor and then pick her up and kiss on her. Shortly after that, she went outside with just he and Adair, and Hank convinced her to swing and she loved it! She still prefers for me to be there and do everything for her (which is totally normal and how it should be), but this tired, very pregnant mommy is thankful for a little relief. It also warmed my heart to see our newest daughter loving on her daddy. It's just a matter of time before she figures out that he's the most fun and he becomes her "favorite".
I promise I am not coaxing them to do this! They just love each other so much!

ReplyDeleteAwhh, I love this post! Can't wait to get the girls together. Encouraging to see Daddy progress... we are making some too, slowly, but surely!
