Emalyn's Finding Ad

In China, when a child is abandoned, the orphanage is required to run an ad in the newspaper to try to locate the child's parents or another family member.  For most forever families, this ad is the earliest photograph available of your child.  We are thrilled that there is an adoptive father who has made it his mission to provide copies of these ads for as many families as possible and he was able to find Emalyn's.  Her ad ran in the paper on August 31, 2010 when she was just shy of three months old.  The ad includes her birthday, finding day, finding place and two physical characteristics--cleft lip and small eyes.  As her mommy, I am especially grateful to have this early picture of our precious daughter.  It's likely we'll never have a picture of her at a younger age.  Isn't she adorable?
